Customer Review: Stroller with many faults - would never recommend it!!!
I purchased the Chicco Cortina 6 months ago and pretty soon noticed many faults:
1. No access to basket underneath when seat is fully reclined.
2. Wheels are very cheap, not bouncy at all, just like the really cheap umbrella strollers usually have. Also they don’t operate smoothly at all and look very worn already!
3. The infant car seat that comes with the stroller is VERY HEAVY. The one good thing is that the seat snaps easily into the base.
4. The seat of the stroller (for toddler use) is so cheaply done, it’s a joke: A few plastic bars and then on top the very thin padding which leads me to the worst fault:
5. The fabric of the cushioning is THE WORST! 100% polyester and it literally STINKS! After six months it still smells. I use a cotton sheet to cover it and still I can smell this plastic smell on my son’s skin after he has been in - awful!!! As a matter of fact it is enough to stick your head near the seat and canopy and you can smell it. Also, the fabric makes my baby sweat, it would really be VERY uncomfortable in the summer time.
Customer Review: Narrow in the shoulders
I have had this stroller for about a year and I am pleased with it. I purchased it with the travel system and I think the car seat is also second to none. The only issue that I wish I would have known is that the back of the stroller is a bit narrow. Our son is a big boy, but he is only 10 months old and when he leans back, the sides of the seat back don’t allow him to sit back all the way. They are not adjustable, so we had to purchase a second stroller…which is too bad, because I love every feature on the Cortina…except this, of course.
